Suzy

Suzi was a sad little dog in January and February of 2009.  She had been dropped off at the shelter and was getting very depressed.  It was impossible to get her to put her ears up for a photograph, and no one who visited the shelter would look long at this sad little dog.

A short stay at a foster home helped some, but the real turnaround for Suzi came when she met Mrs. Iris Graves of Tylertown.  Mrs. Graves had recently lost her husband and, like Suzy, she was feeling very depressed.    She had always had animals and had raised a family of dog lovers.  When her children and grandchildren encouraged her to get a dog for company, Mrs. Graves agreed and Suzi arrived shortly thereafter.  The match was just perfect.

Suzy needed Mrs. Graves and she needed Suzy.  They’ve been a team since then, and Mrs. Graves credits Suzy with giving her a reason to get up in the morning and for keeping her active.  Suzy seems very, very happy now and loves posing for pictures with her ears up.
