We are Scooter and Sadie and we are twins. At eight months old we were left at the Shelter because we were diggers. Apparently that was frowned upon where we used to live. In September 2007, six months after we arrived at the Shelter, the Natchez Democrat ran our picture in the paper with some of our Shelter-mates and our mama saw the picture. She circled it in red and took it home to show our daddy and said “Can we go get them?”. She knew no one wanted to separate us but no one wanted to adopt two. They came to the Shelter that very afternoon and adopted us. We got to go to our new home the next week and we’ve been there ever since! We joined Midnight, Frankie, Patches and Maggie. Riley and Doozer came later. We love all our brothers and sisters and are so happy to have a forever home! We have the run of the house, but can usually be found sleeping underneath a table or a bed. We still dig on occasion, but no one here cares. It’s a dog’s life, and we love it!
