Shelton McGraw with Baby Girl, adopted by his grandmother in 2003.
When Marilyn McGraw adopted Baby Girl from NACHS in 2003, it was her first experience with adopting a dog from a shelter. Mrs. McGraw described the adoption of Baby Girl as a wonderful experience. She says that Baby Girl is a member of their family and she believes that shelter dogs love you more than you expect. "They know you rescued them." Baby Girl had heartworms when adopted but they cleared with Heartguard (a heartworm preventative treatment given monthly). Baby Girl was along for the ride when she and her grandson, Shelton McGraw, recently stopped by NACHS to look at the available animals.
